I have been a family lawyer for over 25 years, during which time I have developed broad experience in all areas of the field, including complex financial disputes, cases involving substantial assets, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. Private and public law matters involving children are particular areas of focus for me, and I have, for example, taken an international child abduction case right up to the House of Lords.
Where possible, however, I passionately believe in resolving matters efficiently, and cost effectively, whether by negotiation or judicial intervention, or, more recently, by way of arbitration. For this reason I have also qualified as a mediator.
Before joining ThomasHaywood Solicitors, I headed up the family department of a large firm in North Kent. I have also worked in London, Rye and, more recently Tunbridge Wells. I am a member of Resolution, the body that promotes the resolution of family disputes by cooperative means, and the Kent Law Society.
I live in rural Kent and enjoy walking in the countryside, keeping fit and spending time with my family.
